Jeremiah 10:23 ESV
I know, O Lord, that the way of man is not in himself,
that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.
The Question?
Have you ever considered giving the Holy Spirit complete control of your life? Why would we not want to have the power and knowledge the Holy Spirit offers us? Do you feel the need to limit His access based on your own judgments? This post will show how God checked my desire for the Holy Spirit's help.
I challenge you to examine yourself and see where the Holy Spirit stands in your life.
The Opportunity
On a night after work, I took a moment to refuel and also seized the opportunity to do some ministry work. The power of the Holy Spirit's presence was evident, and I felt grateful for His guidance.
However, the Lord prompted me to question whether I only ministered when I needed gas. This conviction led to a profound conversation and, eventually, a life-changing prayer from the Holy Spirit.
The Prayer
As I pray, I humbly permit God to use me in any way He deems fit, even if my consciousness

may not be aware of it. While some may view this as an extreme action, I have come to the realization that I have never fully surrendered myself to God before. This newfound insight has compelled me to relinquish my desire for control and allow God to take the lead.
In the past, my need for control has impeded the work of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, I urge you to consider following my example and handing over the reins to God, allowing Him to guide you toward His will.
Jesus said the Holy Spirit would lead us into all truth.
John 16:13 ESV
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears, he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
The Challenge
It's crucial to be truthful and transparent in every aspect of our lives, including our connection with God.
So my challenge is, have you authorized God to intervene in areas of your life that you may have overlooked?
Commencing the change from within ourselves could be the most effective way to initiate the process. We can confidently request God to alter our desires and uncover the areas in our lives that we need to surrender to Him.
By submitting to God's plan, we can become victorious beyond measure. Let's confidently ask God to open our eyes and ears, and soften our hearts, so we may have the gift of submitting to His Lordship. We can be confident that God will save our loved ones in His way and timing.
Just a thought…
We cannot know where we are until we know who we are.
